This is difficult riding terrain, not because the riding itself is necessarily difficult but because road conditions can change without warning, ‘civilisation’ can be a very long way away, and unless you speak good Spanish language is an almost visible barrier.

Your guides
Sonia and Roberto have been guiding tours from their base in the Chilean Lake District since 2003. South America – and particularly inhospitable places like the Atacama Desert, Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego - is not always the easiest part of the world to organise something as complex as a motorcycle tour. There are few hotels, few petrol stations few restaurants, and no motorcycle dealers (Chile has one BMW dealer in the whole country, that’s equivalent to one dealer between London and Jerusalem! The one comment all of our customers make is that they can’t believe how hard Roberto and Sonia work, how they make the tour so much better than expected, and how good the accommodation is!
