Motorcycling in Thailand is full of surprises - good paved roads, mountain passes, unspoilt villages, exciting offroad riding - it will change your idea of the country completely. And H-C Travel is proud to be the only licensed UK tour operator offering fly-ride motorcycle tours through this beautiful country. Our endure (dualsport) tours are run from Chiang Mai, and our itineraries will take you to tribal mountain villages, stunning temples, spectacular waterfalls, the mighty Mekong River, the Burmese border and much more. The riding is as easy or as tough as you want it to be, the accommodation is comfortable and the food is excellent and very inexpensive. Walter, our guide, has been riding these trails for many years, and will show you some surprises along the way that few Westerners know about.

And of course we continue to offer our 3-day offroad training course for road riders wanting to gain some offroad experience. This has got to be not only the cheapest way to learn to ride offroad, but also one of the most enjoyable and scenic. Northern Thailand is just always beautiful, and even falling off can be fun!

Please note that in addition to the published dates, we can run tours for small groups of 4 or more riders most of the year (provided you are comfortable with the weather and riding conditions). We are also able to run road tours for groups on request, either based on our offroad tours or customised to suit.

And if you would like to extend your stay in Thailand we can arrange additional accommodation or tours as you wish.

Our guide

THA - Walter Fenske Walter Fenske was born in Germany in 1957. He trained as a mechanic and ran his own garage, and first came to Thailand in 1988 for a holiday. Walter fell in love with the place and became a resident in 1989. In the same year he founded a motorcycle garage in Chiang Mai together with his friend “Joe” Sauerborn, which also offered motorcycle rentals.

In 1994 Walter founded the oldest legally registered motorcycle tour company in Northern Thailand. In 1995 H-C Travel teamed up with Walter to offer British riders the opportuity to discover the offroad delights of Northern Thailand.

Walter married Joang in 2001 and, in between looking after their pot–bellied pigs, she manages the day to day running of the business. They are both committed to making your time in Thailand fun, safe, exciting and thoroughly enjoyable. We know you won’t be disappointed!
